Bischofsmais mit einem herrlichen Wandergebiet, ist idealer Standort für Tagesausflüge auch in das benachbarte Tschechien. Der Ort ist von leicht ansteigenden Waldkuppeln malerisch umschlossen. Durch die föhn- und nebelfreie Lage, fern von Lärm und Umweltverschmutzung, mit der Höhenlage von 700 bis 1.121 m besteht ein ausgesprochenes Heilklima bei Herz- und Kreislaufbeschwerden sowie bei Erkrankungen der Atmungsorgane.
Im Winter findet man hier über 40 km gespurte Loipen und in 3 km Entfernung befindet sich das Skigebiet "Geißkopf" mit 8 Abfahrten, Sessel- und Schlepplift, Beschneiungsanlage und der längsten Flutlichtpiste des Bayerischen Waldes. Für Snowboarder gibt´s außerdem eine Quaterpipe und einen Funpark.
In den Sommermonaten lockt das Freibad mit großem Schwimmbecken. Kinder können außerdem den großen Abenteuerspielplatz unsicher machen, Spaß und Erholung sind garantiert. Die eigenen Grillkünste unter Beweis stellen kann man auf dem Grillplatz mit uriger Hütte am Teich. In dem weitläufigen Gelände findet man viele lauschige Plätze, an denen man erlebnisreiche Tage ausklingen lassen kann. Spiel und Spaß garantieren Volleyball, Tennis, Boccia, Minigolf, Badminton oder Tischtennis.
Die Anlage verfügt zudem über ein Restaurant (Frühstücksbüffet, Halbpension oder Vollpension buchbar), eine Praxis für Physiotherapie, einen Lebensmittel-, Getränke- und Sport-Shop mit Skischule.
Die Appartements sind gemütlich eingerichtet (38,5 qm bis 64 qm). Ein großes Wohnzimmer mit Couchecke vor dem Fenster, Essecke vor der voll eingerichteten Einbauküche, je nach Appartementtyp 1-3 Schlafzimmer. Zur Grundausstattung jeden Appartements gehört eine Kaffeemaschine, Wasserkocher, Staubsauger und ein Mikrowellengerät.
